 Flexitanks are bulk liquid containers produced from a coated fabric, woven nylon or polyester coated on both sides with synthetic rubber or thermoplastic material with various capacities, ranging from 16 to 24 cubic meters. Flexitanks, however, can be manufactured to accommodate specific capacity requirements.
All BLC materials used in manufacturing flexitanks are approved by the European and US Food & Drugs Administration (FDA) for the carriage of a wide range of liquid foodstuff and non-dangerous / non-corrosive liquid cargo.
Depending on the specific gravity of the liquid (product density), flexitanks convert a standard 20' dry container into a bulk liquid container capable of carrying up to 22 tons. They are designed to maximize utilization of containers to achieve an optimum payload, depending on road restrictions.
